Ebates

Do you like to shop online? Do you like to save money? Then Ebates is something you need to know about.  Ebates is a rebate site, but they make it really easy to get your money back.  Access your favorite online store via Ebates and then make your purchase as normal.  Ebates tracks your purchases (not your credit card info) and then gives you a percentage of your money back!  You can choose to have them send you a check, or deposit your money right to your paypal account every quarter.  Plus, when you sign up you get a $10 gift card!  (I just spent mine at Target!)

The only trick is that once you enter a site through Ebates, you can't leave.  If you do it will stop tracking you and you won't get your money back.  If this happens to you there really isn't anything you can do about it which is a bummer.  You can see that I've got a lot of Ebates shopping trips where I didn't get any cash back (the checkmark means you got money back).  I clicked off the tab and didn't realize it stopped working... don't let that happen to you!

The best way to make sure you're going to get your money back is to install the Ebates tool bar.  Whenever you visit a site that is eligible for cash back Ebates pops up at the top of your screen and reminds you. If you click off the site it will remind you again.  Once you have this installed you don't even have to go to the Ebates site, unless you want to!

I haven't been using Ebates very long, but I've gotten about $15 back so far (counting that $10 gift card).  It's not much but it's free money- you just have to click a button before your shop.  Totally worth it!
