My stash has 3 main components, Flips, Softbums, and Thirsties. The flip covers are great. They are a little wide on my 7 week-old right now, but they will fit him as long as he is in diapers, and the microfiber inserts are great. I like the softbums inserts a lot, but the covers are fleece inside which means you can't wipe them off like the other covers. The cool thing about the softbums is the elastic around the legs that make them fit perfectly around the baby's legs, but it hasn't turned out to be as big an advantage as I expected. The thirsties covers are great for my little guy; I love the double gussets. That being said, the inserts just lay in there, which makes them hard to put on older, squirmier babies. I also have some Best Bottom covers, but I don't use any of their inserts because I was turned off by their sizing system, and the softbums inserts snap right in.
Lately I've been addicted to buying cloth diapers online. Building my stash has been an adventure, and every time I learn something new about my baby I find a new product to help make him more comfortable, and to make my life a little easier. Right now I am trying to find something that will get my little guy through the night. He is only 7 weeks old, but he is wetting right through two layers of microfiber and a layer of cotton in just a few hours. I think my next cloth diaper purchase is going to be a Kissaluvs Organic Cotton/Hemp Fitted Diaper, Unbleached, for Newborns. I can't wait to try it on my little guy at night! I have read lots of great reviews, I am just hoping it works for us. I am planning to try it under our Thirsties Duo Wrap Snap. I have my fingers crossed that this is our night time diaper solution!
